What is a Plantar Wart?
While generally not harmful, plantar warts can be a source of discomfort. Plantar warts usually form due to a viral infection caused by a strain of HPV (human papillomavirus.) Warts are usually found typically more in children and teens than in adults, however, anyone can be prone to them.
They are usually the size of a pea, they may also grow in clusters, and visually can resemble calluses. They also may appear in your hands.
